I realized about 1 month ago that I had trouble with my laptop downloading files from the internet using Wifi I realized this the first time after a factory reset and am not sure whether the problem had already been present before. Downloads of medium to large files e. This was independent of the network I tried it at multiple networks, with different laptops, only my HP would show problems or the used browser.
I contacted the HP customer service, which, after making sure that my software wifi drivers etc. My question is whether no other users have reported this issue? Since then I have again reset my laptop to factory setting to make sure that no new software is causing the problem but the issue persists.
Therefore I would be quite surprised if no other people have reported similar issues… I have pretty much given up hope by now but would of course be thankful for any helpful advice. I updated the BIOS system I didn’t have the newest version and updated everything I found under driver-chipset on the hp software and drivers download page.
I disabled the location service. I don’t use mcafee and don’t have any extra antivirus software installed. I rebooted the computer whenever promted to. Unfortunately the issue was not solved. If the above steps still have no effect, I would download the free edition of malwarebytes and scan your system, just to make sure there isn’t any malware or virus active that might restrict your wireless connection. I tried all your suggestions and although in the beginning I didn’t see any change, at the moment everything seems to work fine and has also been working in the last couple of days. Therefore I assume something did the trick. Thank you for your help! Apparently this issue was only solved temporarly. I mostly didn’t use windows in the meantime and I believe there were some windows-updates and also a wifi-driver update but in any case the issue is back.
