Does anyone here, preferably from Microsoft, know exactly which phone number I have to call, and any following options, and preferably a name of someone who knows what they are doing, to get this upgrade completed?

I was bounced between the 2 departments several times over 3 consecutive nights with increasing levels of frustration until one evening, while using Chat with the Consumer department, I pretty much lost it and regaled just what I’d been through. At that the agent went and spoke to a manager, came back and told me that, as a good will gesture, they’d email me the link to download the install – which they did and now everything is working.
So I eventually got what I needed, it was just so complicated because neither the Consumer nor Business department had access to all the information they needed to determine that my request was legitimate.
As soon as I mentioned a Consumer install to the Business people they’d shrug me off and the same with the Consumer people when I mentioned a Business install. As such I’m afraid I can’t give you the phone number to call to get this resolved, but, in my recent experience, go via the Microsoft Answer Desk Chat service, exclaim the pain you’ve been through and nobody’s helping and, hopefully, they’ll send you the download link you require.
