Microsoft word has stopped working 2013 mail merge free download

 

I have been using the mail merge features in Microsoft Office Word for a couple of years and merging over 2, labels every 2 months for newsletters. My ministry office PC is Windows The last Wednesday that I worked before the 4th of July holiday I did a mail merge of my labels and Word only merged through the “W”s and left out my X-Z labels. Today, I copied the X-Z labels to a new sheet of my Excel database and merged them to a new document in on my Windows 10 laptop.

At first Word could not find any fields to merge after I had selected my Excel database as the source. I searched support and found another person that had the same problem in Word He said that he finally opened the Excel database first, then opened the blank Word document for the mail merge and it worked. That seemed to work for me when I merged the X-Y labels. Since mail merge seemed to be working now, I thought I would try to merge all of my labels to see if I could get them into one document so I could print my labels.

Now I can’t even get Mail Merge to work in Word. I get an error message and Word has to close. This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.

I went online and repaired my Office programs, but am still having problems merging all of my labels. I have now gotten mail merge to work in Word after several hours of working with it, but my labels still only merge through the “W”s.

I have to copy and paste all of the X,Y, and Z labels to a new tab in Excel and perform a second merge. If you send me a copy of the mail merge main document and the data source, referencing this thread in the covering email message, I will investigate the issue.
